Learning to Camp - Second time around!

So we loved the Learn to Camp Program from Ontario Parks so much that this year I booked again to join as a "graduate".  We stayed in the same site (Sibbald Point Provincial Park) but instead of 1 night we stayed 2 nights.

Here is my photo journal.  For more information about the program, read my other post here

LESSON #1:  We learned to pack less!!!!

LESSON 2:  We copied their list of supplies so that we can do the same for our future camping trips.

Our teachers Jenna and Tessa went through all the essentials to camping.

Staff came to show us pelts from different kinds of animals

Propane means power

Kids had a lesson on how to put together the tent

Now, our turn

Because it was our second time around, we skipped Learn to Fish this time and instead visited the Museum at the park (yes, there is a nice museum!)  Nice to meet Sarah who was our teacher last year!  Here she is teaching us how to make butter...for real!

Shake Shake Shake

Shake a bit more
More pelts!

Now, time for the food!
Can't resist the ice cream and poutine at the Park Store!

Learning about Fire Safety
Nice and cozy
And of course...the BEACH!!!  It was nice that we were staying an extra night so we could just go back to our site after a beach day

Going back for a nice HOT Shower!!!! It was so nice cause we stayed one more night on Sunday so by the time we were back on the campsite half of the park had left!

Barbecue time!

Mass Production

S'mores!
We love Fire!

Learning from our Learn to Camp teachers!

You can't tell but the night before it rained all night
