Can you hear me now?

" Always be joyful.   Never stop praying .   Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thess 5:16-18 Our church is spending the month of May to focus on prayer.  Although we all can have our own ideas on what we need to do to encourage more prayer, I think most would agree....more prayer is good. But you and I might have different ideas on what a church should/could do to promote more prayer.  After all, can you really 'promote' more prayer?  Shouldn't prayer be sincere and not forced and out of obligation? But what's the state of our prayer lives today?  Has it changed much in the last 24 hours, 3 months, year or 5 years? Even though our opinions might differ, I think we can come into agreement on one thing:  we all need to learn more about prayer and the only way to really learn (not study about it) it and make it our own is to do it. Can God hear us? Can I hear God? As I reflect on th

I was not looking forward to our 14 day trip to Hong Kong.  Last time we went , the kids threw up at the same time on the 16 hour plane ride, we had to try to squeeze in naps in the midst of noise, we didn't know where to eat that would be offer peanut free environments and we were not used to the constant crowds, noise and hectic schedule. In another blog I logged tips on what I learned this second trip to Hong Kong with kids under 10.  One of the lessons I learned was to be adventurous - well, here are some of these adventure points we visited: a)  Apliu Street - electronics street market.  Around there there is an entire street that sells beading and another one that sells fabric and ribbons.  there is also a street around there will a lot of stationary and toys b)  The Science Museum - we were in Jordan and walked to this museum.  On our way we found interesting things too.  I wanted to check the Heritage museum too but it was closed that day. c)  Yee Shum Milk Company - we didn't plan on stopping here but were glad when we walked by one of their stores across the city!  Definitely highly recommended! d)  Disneyland - I hear so many complaints about Disneyland Hong Kong but I never understood why, especially if you are traveling with young kids.  I actually happen to like
